With support from the California Arts Council, Assyrian Arts Institute will be able to fund one staff member for a nonprofit grant-writing certificate that focus on federal level grants. This funding will advance the skill set of AAI’s staff and yield exponential results, ensuring the long life of the organization.
The Assyrian Arts (AAI) Institute serves as an educational resource and provider of exhibitions and performances of Assyrian arts that reflect the highest standards of excellence to the broadest possible global audience. AAI seeks to identify gifted Assyrian artists who are looking to showcase their talent in order to turn their artistic ambition into a successful career. AAI accomplishes this through public showcasing of arts in their respective media, ranging from performance-based arts such as Assyrian dance and the creation of an Assyrian national choir, to visual arts like sculpture and painting. AAI believes that through art, not only is recognition for the Assyrian culture realized, but it also becomes the fabric that connects Assyria’s deep historical roots to today’s world.
