With support from the California Arts Council, the Immaculate Heart Community will use funding to hire a strategy consultant at the Corita Art Center, which is one project within the portfolio of the larger organization. The Corita Art Center has hired a new Director, and has begun our annual strategic planning with a focus on program development merchandising and other earned income strategies. Funding would be used to support implementation and evaluation of these new strategy and programs.
Corita Art Center engages broad audiences and encourages new scholarship about Corita’s life and art through the realization of exhibitions and programs, overseeing image rights, and maintaining an archive of her work and ephemera. CAC’s work includes lending prints for exhibitions nationally and globally, providing access to the collections and archives for scholars and educators, and developing public programs and educational materials based in Corita’s teaching and artwork.
