With support from the California Arts Council, CURA will deliver a Recovery Through the Arts program, which uses the arts and humanities to promote personal transformation, to promote lasting recovery from addiction and criminality. Grant funds will allow us to include Visiting Artists as teachers in the program, and to organize public exhibitions that show the deep humanity of formerly incarcerated people. With grant funds, CURA can refine and disseminate the curriculum to be used in Reentry.
