With support from the CAC, Kitka will engage Elizabeth Seja Min for an organizational assessment, succession planning, and organizational transition consultancy. Min will facilitate 2 all-organization retreats and a series of meetings with Kitka board, staff, and ensemble leaders to plan a new musical leadership and ensemble operations model. This consultancy will prepare Kitka for the late 2018 retirement of long-term music director Janet Kutulas, and the 2019 launch of the Kitka Institute.
Kitka’s core organizational programs and services include a San Francisco Bay Area-based series of concerts, workshops, artist residencies, leadership of community choirs and community sings; in-school programs; regional, national, and international touring; recording, publication, and broadcast projects; commissioning; and adventuresome multicultural and multidisciplinary collaborations with some of the worlds most compelling traditional artists and contemporary performance makers.
