With support from the California Arts Council, the Visibility Project will collect and disseminate histories of the LGBTQ APA communities through the Resilience Archives.
We provide education opportunities and archiving services. We curate and digitize materials, attain publishing permission, and post key materials in an online digital history tour. We offer free storytelling workshops that highlight LGBTQ APA experiences, and present work in a powerful performance and visual arts showcase.
The Resilience Archives is a core program with two areas of focus.
1. Provide free artistic educational opportunities to the LGBTQ Asian Pacific American community
2. Digitally archive the histories of LGBTQ APA individuals and LGBTQ APA organizations by providing physical archiving education, free digitization services, and connecting community histories in a digital history tour with photos, documents, and location based map.
