With Support from the California Arts Council WE PLAYERS will present Mother Lear, a Fall 2018 tour to California elder/memory care communities, with emphasis on care training for caregivers. Mother Lear is a 50 minute, poignant original theatre piece, about an irascible middle-aged scholar with dementia who communicates with her daughter using only the text from Shakespeare’s King Lear. The play is a 50-minute one act followed by a professionally facilitated discussion with the audience.
