Project Description
With support from the CAC, SFEMS will continue to strengthen its relationship with the ensembles and organizations in its Affiliates program and reach out more effectively to the Bay Area’s early music community. We will achieve this goal by augmenting staff salaries; expanding our initiative to provide project grants to Affiliate ensembles; and by continuing to diversify and make more inclusive the programing of future Berkeley Festivals, SFEMS concert programs and workshops.
Organization Summary
The Society emphasizes three areas of activity:
– Concerts and informal musical events
– Education programs that encourage the development of amateurs and professionals
– Communication, outreach, collaboration, and support services for the Bay Area early music community
