Job Summary
YoloArts is a county-wide organization fostering a robust arts and cultural community in Yolo County by serving artists, arts organizations, and the community. We are now hiring an Education Associate to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to support our growing Education Department’s needs. The position provides administrative support, works with all of YoloArts educational and community programs including Field Trips and the Barn Studio, and reports directly to the Education Director.

Major Job Responsibilities
Support the goals of the Education Department.
Develop Curriculum to Support Events, Tours, and Programs.
Draft Social Media content for Education Department (Facebook & Instagram).
Design community outreach and program support materials (Canva).
Manage Education Programs Calendar. Professional communications via email and phone.
Source department supplies and materials as needed.
Clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Manage day-to-day operations of the art studio including supply management, set-up and breakdown for studio bookings, and supporting lifelong learning for all participants.
Lead tours and educational engagements for the K-12 Field Trip and Tour programs as scheduled, including setup and breakdown.
Represent YoloArts at Community and On-Site Events as needed including set-up/breakdown of tabling/booth materials and leading engagements.

Qualifications
2-3 yearsʼ experience working with school age children.
Experience with teaching or leading intergenerational activities.
Bilingual – Spanish & English. Knowledge of Art, Art History, Studio Art, &/or History.
Access to transportation to YoloArts & throughout Yolo County.
Must pass TB test and background check.

Abilities
Work independently and resourcefully to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Skilled in logistics to anticipate problems.
Ability to remain calm under pressure without losing a customer-service oriented attitude.
Accurate and Confidential financial data entry.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Apple applications, Google suite, Facebook, Instagram, Canva, and others as assigned.
Participate in YoloArts’ Training Program (Dates TBD – October 2024)
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Lift up to 25lbs & stand and walk for long periods.

Schedule of Employment
To begin immediately. Status Part-Time, non-exempt, in-person, occasional remote work is possible.
Weekly 1:1  department check-in with the Education Director.
16 hours weekly of independent work in the YA Office.
Field Trips: Begin Nov. 2024 | Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am-1:00pm as scheduled.
Other tasks and duties are as scheduled.
Some weekends and evenings are required.

$23-25 hourly depending on experience.

Does not include health benefits.
