Job Description
The Box Office & Patron Services Managers run our online and in-person box office activities, including single ticket and subscription campaigns. They also supervise the Front of House staff at The Ashby Stage, and work collaboratively with our staff to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for audiences for all public events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage daily operations of Box Office in collaboration with the Box Office Associate – including live phone hours, ticket and subscription sales, nightly reconciliations, updating voicemail/website/calendar information and weekly reporting.
• Run our nightly Box Office with the support of the Box Office Associate and Front of House Staff. We have programming 38-40 weeks per year, 5 nights a week (BO Manager currently works Tues – Sat)
• Manage digital performance creation, ticketing, and reporting for online live-streaming and video-on-demand (including uploads, reviewing captions, and archiving)
• Implement Box Office systems and policies for our current season and beyond.
• Train, schedule and supervise House Managers, Concessionaires and volunteer ushers.
• Assist patrons with questions and concerns; communicate Shotgun policies and accommodate requests when possible.
• Serve as the master user of AudienceView (“AV”), our Customer Relations Management software, to build out back-end ticketing and events, create Business Intelligence reports, build seasonal subscriptions, and manage customer profiles.
• Act as the point of contact for communications with AV regarding software patches, error logging, and updates.
• Create analytics reports around ticket sales, subscription drives, marketing KPIs, and fundraising; report out on findings and trends at weekly all-staff meetings and at the request of the Managing Director, Marketing Director, and Development Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Management experience in box office and front-of-house operations
• Experience with financial reporting and handling cash
• Working knowledge of nonprofit performing arts organizations
• Experience with AudienceView or other customer relations management software is a plus
• Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
• Excellent customer service skills
• Familiarity with HTML is a plus
