Celebration Arts (CA), founded in 1986 by James Wheatley, provides training and performing opportunities in acting, dance, and music, through a theater season, dance company, Celebration Chorale, Storytelling Festival, and Kid’s Time programs (http://celebrationarts.net/about.html). These arts opportunities are provided to community residents, both adults and children, primarily aimed at African Americans. The Execute Director manages the operational and administrative activities of the organization, including developing the strategic plan and budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors and Artistic Director. They oversee the implementation of the organization’s strategic plan while working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Artistic Director, and staff. The Executive Director will oversee CA operational staff and oversee/coordinate with CA board committees to support CA’s mission and draw new audiences while also deepening connection with current audiences.
