Shop Manager/Fabricator Job Summary
As a Shop Manager/Fabricator, you will operate with integrity, transparency, and resourcefulness; supporting our clients and the diverse communities and artists with which we work. An ideal candidate will have relevant experience overseeing a workshop environment and working in a fabrication studio or relevant field. They will be a team player and be comfortable communicating with clients in person and via email.
The Shop Manager/Fabricator will manage and support projects across diverse materials and mediums, working on small and large-scale artworks. They will utilize their skills in communication, organization, and making, including the ability to manage production schedules and budgets, read and interpret drawings, calculate material measurements, and assemble, cut, join, and install artworks of various mediums.
Candidates must be open to some site work.
Shop Manager/Fabricator Duties and Responsibilities
Shop Manager/Fabricator Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in art fabrication and shop management. They will have experience managing projects from conception to completion. They will demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in operating a variety of common woodworking, metalworking, and finishing equipment and will be comfortable working with wood, metal, foam, glass, stone, concrete, and plastics. Candidates will also be able to read and understand schematics and blueprints and translate these concepts from miniatures to large-scale artworks, demonstrating basic skills in math and spatial reasoning.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time (5 days, 40-hour work week) position with benefits and paid annual leave. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
