Operations Manager

Description

As the Operations Manager at Local Color, you will oversee day-to-day operations, including human resources, facilities, and financial management. You’ll work closely with the Executive and Associate Directors to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, staff management, policy development, and program budgets. You’ll need to be organized, enthusiastic, and able to manage complex systems while communicating effectively. Your responsibilities will include overseeing facility preparations, reviewing program budgets, filing permits, and managing timelines. The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team to support the organization’s infrastructure.

This position is a regular part-time, ranging from 23 to 30 hours per week. You will be expected to work within the general schedule of Tuesday through Friday between 10 am to 5 pm. Weekend work may be required occasionally.

This part-time, hybrid opportunity ranges from $25 – $29. Working with Local Color in this capacity provides 24/7 access to our artists’ studio workspaces during your employment. If efficiencies increase Local Color’s team capacity, this role can grow to regular full-time with health benefits following an annual peer and self-review.

Local Color’s three primary goals for this position are:  

  • To increase the operational efficiency of Local Color across all areas of the organization.
  • To increase the efficiency of Local Color’s financial management by overseeing financial policies and strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
  •  Expand the capacity of Local Color’s team by supporting programs and fund development activities.
