Location: Hybrid: P.S. ARTS Office, Los Angeles, and Work-from-Home
Schedule: Office Hours 9AM – 5PM, but must be able to work some nights and weekends
Travel: Travel to assigned districts’ school sites for site visits and events is required
Designation: Full-time, Non-exempt Hourly
Rate: $28.21/hour Salary adjustments are dependent on performance, cost-of-living and the Organization’s budget

Position Summary: The Program Coordinator, Classroom Studio (‘Coordinator’) is responsible for the coordination, implementation and maintenance of P.S. ARTS Classroom Studio programs and community outreach activities in assigned school districts. The Coordinator works under the guidance of the Programs Director to ensure program and partnership quality, provide faculty support, and contribute to program budget development and tracking. The Coordinator acts as the primary liaison for faculty, school site administrators and personnel, and program partners in assigned districts. A successful Coordinator is highly organized, responsive to a fast-paced environment and can take appropriate action, while working well independently and collaboratively. The Coordinator’s overall goal is to ensure quality execution of projects and programing within their assigned districts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
§ 2+ years of experience in arts education or general education, as teacher or administrator
§ Strong administrative and communications skills
§ Demonstrated ability to work with and oversee a multi-disciplinary team
§ An attention to details with experience reading and maintaining a budget § Familiarity or practice in an arts discipline
§ Bilingual in Spanish/English, strongly preferred Program Coordinator, Classroom Studio 04/2023
Essential Functions & Tasks:
This position involves assisting in hiring and recruitment of Teaching Artists
Essential Functions:
§ Coordinate and monitor Classroom Studio programming in assigned school districts*;
§ Serve as a liaison for partner school administrators, school site personnel, faculty in assigned district(s), and other community partners;
§ Monitor faculty compliance with P.S. ARTS policies and expectations, including curriculum documentation, instruction, and evaluation protocols; and
§ Actively participate in community building in and across our partner schools. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
§ Processing partnership agreements and other essential documents for assigned contracts and districts;
§ Coordinate school-site logistics – program and Teaching Artist schedules (including subs, if needed), supply orders, community events, etc.;
§ Budgeting – with oversight draft district budgets and track spending;
§ Monitoring program quality and efficiency in assigned districts; § Travel to school sites to provide on-site support, meet with school administrators, and contribute to a creative and effective learning environment in our classrooms;
§ Supervise assigned Teaching Artists– onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and performance;
§ Assist with performance evaluation of assigned Teaching Artists
§ Participate in Family Arts Nights, special projects, and programs events as needed;
§ Assist the Advancement department with grant applications and reports as requested;
§ Contribute to programs-related content for social media, newsletters, and other P.S. ARTS-related publications as needed; *Assigned districts may change, reduce, or be added to in response to Organization needs.
