Reporting to the Director of Education & Visitor Engagement and working closely with a variety of staff, the Getty Marrow Education Intern will gain a basic understanding of the field of art museum education issues, programs, and interpretive strategies. The Intern will play a critical role in preparing historical and current program documentation for a user-friendly archive for a variety of education programs, as well as supporting in-person and online programming for teachers, families, and teens. This position will primarily be based on-site with some possible remote work. Schedule is generally working 9:30am – 5pm Mondays through Fridays and subject to adjustment to accommodate occasional weekend events.

For this role, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated to learn about a variety of methods and practices that encourage people to connect with art in museums. If you delight in getting the details right and ensuring all ducks are in a row, this role is a great fit. A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to front-of-house and public-facing tasks. You will also stand out if you have an interest in event planning and implementation.
Full-time temporary
Pay rate: $17.00/hr
Position not covered by MOCA/AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement
