The School of the Arts (SOTA) at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for Program Coordinator, Special Events in SOTA’s office of Public Programs and Engagement.
The Program Coordinator, Special Events plans, organizes and coordinates programs produced by SOTA’s Office of Public Programs and Engagement. Under supervision and direction from the Program Manager, Special Events, this position plans, manages and implements arts productions and programs including the Performing Arts Series, Reno Jazz Festival and Lake Tahoe Music Camp. Major responsibilities include program details/logistics, event set-up/strike, oversight of volunteers, management of event registration/ticket sales, customer relations, SOTA social media and online calendars, marketing material distribution, venue rentals and technical logistics, audio visual contracts and setup, event surveys creation/analysis, development of event related schedules and timelines, assistance with grant applications/reports, liaising with artists, contractors and community partners and problem solving. This position contributes to the office’s mission to increase access to the arts and connect new audiences to the arts.
