The City of Tracy is looking to fill three (3) Recreation Leader III vacancies within the Cultural Arts Division of the City Manager’s Office & Parks & Recreation Department. For more information about each position; please review the information below.

Under general supervision to direct, organize and supervise recreation programs and community events; set up City facilities and equipment; maintain facilities and equipment; follow oral and written instructions. Incumbents may be asked to work in any recreation program which includes: Athletics, Facilities, Youth Services, Senior Center, Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, Cultural Arts, or Special Events.

Recreation Leader III – Cultural Arts Division

One Recreation Leader III within the Cultural Art Division will assist the Box Office Coordinator and/or Cultural Arts Supervisor in planning and implementation of Cultural Arts events and programs, as well as supporting the Box Office Coordinator. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and experience coordinating front of house operations for a theatre. The second Recreation Leader III will support the Arts Education Program as the Ceramics Lab Technician. Experience with clay making techniques, equipment, and firings is highly desirable.  

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Equivalent to two years of paid or volunteer work as a group leader or lead worker in an organized, recreation or community service program with specific expertise or experience in program area of recruitment.

Minimum Age: 18 years of age.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:

Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain, a California Class C Driver License.

Certification in First Aid/CPR
