Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Community Engagement duties include managing the social media/digital marketing strategies of BCSD, grant writing, implementing educational programs and initiatives, proofreading, and fundraising support.
This position offers the opportunity to work from home or the BCSD office. The applicant needs to be based in San Diego County.
Duties
1)    Social Media/Digital Marketing
a.     Creates content for email, social media, and social media advertising campaigns. Coordinates with organizational leadership to broadcast the content
b.     Maintain social media presence, especially Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
c.     Develops digital marketing strategies by selecting appropriate digital channels, identifying customers and setting goals
d.     Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns against goals
2)    Grant Writing
a.     Assist Executive Director in researching and applying for grants
b.     Manage current and new grants, submitting reports and other materials in a timely manner as requested by the granting organization
3)     Fundraising support
a.     Work with ED to help design fundraising campaigns and establish revenue goals
b.     Refine fundraising channels for each campaign and coordinate with social media
c.     Create tactics, content, and deadlines for the campaigns
d.     Measure and report fundraising performance against goals
e.     Assist ED in researching and writing grants
f.      Assist ED and AD in setting up meetings with donors
4)    Education Outreach
a.     Coordinate the annual Choral Internship program
b.     In conjunction with organizational leadership, develop and implement K-12 digital and in-person education and engagement initiatives
c.     Establish partnership schools and visit new schools to expand the reach of programming
5)    Box Office Coordinator
a.     Run the ticket table at events
b.     Coordinate volunteers and ushers
c.     Work with graphic/web designer to bring the vision to the website
6)    Editing
a.     Proofread all public content including e-blasts, social media posts and ads, concert programs, etc.
b.     Research and select text and translations for concerts
7)    Other duties as assigned.
 
 
Compensation:  $20/hour (20 hours/week average)
