Announcing the 2022 Film Grants from the Berkeley FILM Foundation

The Berkeley FILM Foundation (BFF) is offering a new round of film grants for its 2022 cycle, opening April 4. BFF supports narrative and documentary works in production, post-production and distribution stages. Grants between $5,000 – $25,000 are awarded to professional and student filmmakers who live or work in the East Bay for films with a strong focus on social or environmental justice. The BFF grant program accepts applicants who live or work in the cities of Berkeley, Emeryville, El Cerrito, Albany, Richmond, and Oakland. Deadline to apply is May 9.

The Berkeley FILM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) grant and educational program for independent filmmakers founded by the City of Berkeley, Wareham Development, and the Saul Zaentz Company with a mission to nurture, sustain and preserve the thriving local film community while attracting the next generation of filmmakers. Since 2009, the Berkeley FILM Foundation has awarded 233 grants totaling $2.08 million to films in the production, post-production and distribution stages.
