New Conservatory Theatre Center is hiring a part time Business Manager
Position Overview
The Business Manager is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the organization. This position works closely with the Executive Director to implement financial systems and controls. The Business Manager handles all banking, insurance, and payroll matters for the company and is the primary liaison with our health care insurance provider, our payroll system, our bank, and other outside vendors.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage/file payroll, currently through ADP. Issue W2s and 1099’s at year end according to tax requirements
• Administer all banking & bank reconciliations. Manage all aspects of deposits: file deposit slips, deliver deposit to bank. Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Box office/fundraising/enrollment reconciliations
• Deposits/Wire Transfers and cash disbursements
• Insurance-Health/Liability/Workers Comp
• Workers Comp Audit
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Preparation for annual audit with outside auditor
• File annual returns and forms such as Form 990/199 and others
• Cash Management
• Point person for employee programs such as commuter checks
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable: Enter and reconcile cash, check, and credit card deposits. Process and print check requests
• Manage restricted contributions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Director
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred (or equivalent experience) in business administration or finance
• Experience (2 or more years) functioning in a financial role. Non-profit organization preferred
• Strong fiscal and budget management skills
• Superior organizational skills; a work style that is thorough, accurate and detail-oriented;
• Sound judgment and superior ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Strong computer skills, including Quickbooks, Office Suite, ADP payroll system. Familiarity with Patron Manager or SalesForce a plus.
• The ability to set priorities and schedules, to meet deadlines, and to follow through on
projects with minimal supervision
