Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for managing all SFFILM inventory, including storage, furniture rentals, sponsored product, operations & production equipment, and assisting the Tech department with rentals as needed. The Production Manager also manages the overall Production Assistant schedule and movement of Production vehicles across the HQ/Lounge, Special Events, and Onstage Events, while supporting the Operations leadership team with coordinating an organized system for Load In/Out. As SFFILM moves into a new office in 2022, the Production Manager will work closely with the year round Office Manager to support office set up, inventory, and organization.

This is a full-time temporary role from February 14 – May 13, at an hourly rate. This role is eligible for overtime, with peak moments both leading up to and during the festival, especially around program launch, load in, and load out. SFFILM Festival dates are April 21 – May 1.

Covid-19 Safety: Seasonal staff at the 2022 SFFILM Festival may be required to engage in public-facing roles and thus are required to provide proof of vaccination for employment. 

Remote Work Accommodation: Seasonal staff are expected to be based in the Bay Area, however if your contract begins before March 1, 2022, SFFILM may be able to accommodate fully remote work prior to that date. Remote work policies are subject to change based on city and state recommendations around COVID-19 safety.

Responsibilities
Manage the inventory “check-out” and tracking system
Work with all staff to make sure production request system protocols are understood and followed, including creating training documents as necessary
Manage all storage spaces and inventory, including sourcing offsite storage units during the festival as needed, and acting as the main point of contact for Clutter (offsite storage services)
Work with HQ & Lounge Manager, Special Events Manager, Tech and Media Manager, and Theater Operations Manager on all furniture, tech, and production rentals for Live & Onstage Events + green rooms, Music & Film, Castro Events, HQ/Lounge, Parties, festival offices in theatres, and Members Night and Press Conference
Manage two Production Assistants, including creation of daily schedule across the HQ/Lounge, Special Events, and Onstage Events
Manage distribution of program guides, including Production Assistant schedule and vehicle rental as necessary
Work with the Festival Operations Manager and Tech and Media Manager in coordinating Load In/Out, including assisting in the management of the inventory and movement of all items and communicating necessary information to staff
Work with the Transportation and Festival Operations Managers on reserving parking meters and communication with SFMTA
Manage movements of SFFILM Production vehicles and reserved parking spots during festival, including working with staff across departments on parking meter needs, and managing those needs daily during the festival
Work with Festival Operations Manager on installation of signage in all venues as necessary 
Coordinate delivery of sponsored product to storage, working closely with Operations leadership & Development team
Support other departments in setup and breakdown of venues as needed
Create a written wrap-report and summary of all necessary timeline and budget info
Qualifications
Must be comfortable with Excel
Detail-oriented and extremely organized
Excellent decision-making and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills
Experience navigating events in a COVID-19 landscape, flexibly pivoting planning and protocols according to evolving circumstances
Great attitude, cooperative spirit, and a go-getter mentality 
Friendly, welcoming and comfortable interacting with people with vastly different backgrounds and roles
Ability to understand how logistics fits into big picture festival goals
Comfortable with the heavy lifting and labor inherent in loading in and out of festival sites
A valid license and clean driving record is required for this position; offer will be contingent upon approval from SFFILM insurance
Possess great energy and efficiency
Comfort with Filemaker a plus
