POSITION SUMMARY
 
The Supervisor, Ticketing Services is responsible for supporting the Box Office by developing, improving, and maintaining ticketing department policies and training.  The role also provides support to the Subscription department by addressing patron questions, processing orders, and providing backup coverage for the Receptionist. This position also assists in the supervision of the Contact Center staff.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Provide Box Office support by supervising critical box office operations to include the performance of multiple box office locations and Ticket Services staff.
  • Assist in the supervision of the Contact Center phones and staff.
  • Support the Subscription office with implementing the annual Season Ticket campaign to include renewals and new acquisitions.
  • Serve as backup for the Receptionist
  • Help to maintain customer service standards and support departmental customer service initiatives.
  • Respond to and resolve customer service issues in  a manner that supports patron retention
  • Build effective relationships within the organization
  • Assist in hiring and training of new Ticketing staff.  Provide routine feedback to improve performance’
  • Write annual performance reviews and deliver coaching and constructive feedback as necessary
     
    *- Other duties may be assigned in support of departmental goals.
     

ESSENTIAL SKILLS and PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
 

  • Minimum of 1-year ticketing and some leadership experience, or equivalent experience
  •  Knowledge of Tessitura is a plus
  •  Proven ability to lead and work well in a team-based environment
  •  Superior Customer Service Skills including proper phone etiquette
  • Computer aptitude, extensive Microsoft Excel experience is a plus
  •  Excellent written and oral communications skills to effectively present information
  • Ability to regularly problem-solve with tact and diplomacy
  • Capability to multitask at a high-level

PHYSICAL DEMANDS*

  • Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, use telephone, and write by hand 
  • Possess manual dexterity to handle and feel
  • Ability to see close, distant, and color
  • Regularly walk, stand, and sit in the performance of duties
  • Frequently stand, reach, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Ability to speak clearly with sufficient hearing to communicate effectively
  • Periodically lift and move up to 25 pounds
