Job Description
SPARC is seeking an experienced, CPA certified Financial Controller to provide accounting oversight and to manage the complex accounting functions and financial planning of a non-profit organization. The Financial Controller will work closely with SPARC’s Executive Director, CEO, bookkeeper, and Finance Committee to oversee data collection, financial reporting and budgeting. They will report to the Executive Director to coordinate both internal and external audit processes, and forecast results and recommend operational adjustments as needed.

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be available to telework and attend on-location work at SPARC’s headquarters in Venice, CA., following all health guidelines and restrictions in compliance with the COVID-19 pandemic.
About the Organization
Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC) is a community-based non-profit arts organization founded in 1976 by muralist Judith F. Baca, filmmaker Donna Deitch and artist Christina Schlesinger. SPARC is dedicated to producing, presenting and preserving public artworks in Los Angeles neighborhoods. The organization is best known for its work in hundreds of Los Angeles neighborhoods at a grassroots level to produce the rich legacy of Los Angeles murals.
