CDP NextGen Youth Media Grants

Description

California Documentary Project NextGen Grant Deadline & Applicant Webinar

California Humanities invites applications for the 2021 round of CDP NextGen grants to support California’s next generation of documentary storytellers ages 18 and under. Applications are due March 15, 2021.

California-based nonprofit organizations and public agencies, including schools and libraries, with track records in youth media programming, may apply for grants up to $15,000 to provide training to emerging media makers in the creation of short, insightful nonfiction films and/or podcasts that tell original stories about life in California today.

We are particularly interested in projects that, in addition to providing technical training in film or podcast production, actively support media literacy and use the humanities to provide context and perspective.
