Bonhams is seeking a full-time Cataloger will be responsible for the full cataloging and research of all Post-War & Contemporary and Made in California artworks consigned to Los Angeles sales as well as those consigned for sales in other locations that flow through the Los Angeles office, as necessary.

They will work with department Specialists and Administrators for all pre-sale, sale and post-sale coordination. Coordinates with Marketing, Operations and Finance to ensure flawless sale activity and maintenance of all sale related deadlines, and will be responsible for the management of the department’s inventory, documents, and client database information.

Acting as the main liaison for department ensuring San Francisco & New York issues are fully handled in a parallel fashion, they will work directly with the consignors and all internal departments to ensure handling of all activities as they relate to the consignment and sale process.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Art History and 2+ years experience in an office environment preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written & verbal).
• Excellent problem resolution skills and customer service skills
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn other software programs.
• Ability to lift 20-40 lbs.
• Current driver’s license and ability to drive a car.
