With support from the California Arts Council, and through our “Prison to Artistic Freedom Pipeline Project,” MC Arts & Culture will provide structure, marketing, resources and community networks for artists who have served time in prison and re-entering into society.

Organization Summary

MC Arts Gallery & Boutique is a community art gallery and cultural center in a mixed sub and urban city next to a transportation hub in the middle of an outdoor mall.

We provide teaching artists and cultural enrichment to local schools and community organizations.

Our onsite and online on-going projects include:
“Figure Model Drawing Group”, “Art in the Park”, “Painted Legacies in Art”, “Prison to Artistic Freedom Pipeline”; Presentations & Performance: Readers Theater, Dance Workshops, Art Exhibits, Live Concerts, Audio Book Club; Events: Black History 365 celebrations, Annual Juneteenth Festival of African Arts and Culture, Annual Soul Essential Holiday Bazaar, Kwanzaa, Youth & Intergenerational Panel Discussions, and a Movie Night followed by Q & A and discussions.

We provide cultural enrichment field trips and curriculum for local school districts and host collaborative events with various community organizations, agencies and businesses.

The MC Arts Gallery & Cultural Center provides deeply discounted space to local residents and community organizations, and competitive rates for non-community and commercial use.
