Our core programming is our full-scale musical theater productions for youth ages 8-18, produced three times a year at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, which includes a live orchestra. Over the past six years, we have expanded our programs to include summer production camps, afterschool programs, technical theater education for youth ages 14-20 and skill-building classes and workshops. Throughout all of our work, we prioritize finding ways to make our programs affordable, accessible, and inclusive. We strive to keep our programs low-cost, and we provide financial support to any families for whom cost is a barrier. We do not cut students from auditions. Our non-traditional casting approach gives equal opportunity to students of every gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religion, race, and ethnicity. We provide support for Spanish-speaking students and families, and organize ASL interpreters and supertitles during performances.

In service of our mission, we seek out collaborative partnerships with other San Diego organizations to bring high-quality performing arts education to as many students as possible. In the last 6 years, we are proud to have worked with Trans Family Support Services, TERI Inc, A Step Beyond, San Pasqual Academy, and The Children’s Initiative. We have also had the privilege of serving several trans youth in the foster system who have come to us from Promises2Kids and Casa de Amparo.

Through partnerships with the Palomar College Service Learning Department, Del Lago Academy’s Student Internship Program and the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Internship Program, we have been able to offer internship opportunities to young adult community members to expose them to career pathways.

Since 2023, we have partnered with the Escondido Union School District to provide after-school musical theater education in the Escondido elementary schools through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. (E-LOP).
