Members of the California Arts Council unanimously approved two official statements recently that support instruction of the visual and performing arts education in the classrooms of California’s K-12 schools. A proclamation addressing the visual and performing arts throughout California was approved last October, and a resolution addressing concerns about proposed reductions of arts education in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) was approved on January 26, 2010.
