Your Neighborhood Museum creates sustainable community-led alternatives to institutional cultural heritage preservation models. Our mission is to make cultural heritage preservation accessible to those under-resourced and under-recognized by traditional art institutions.

We endeavor to leverage our skills, networks, and experience to directly support preservation projects led by BIPOC communities. We are creating new systems that better serve the immediate preservation needs of BIPOC communities while also investigating and addressing their root causes, such as inequities in heritage preservation investments from the philanthropic sector.
