Project Description

The guiding mission of VOENA is to “Unite the world and empower future leaders through music.” The non-profit children’s choir achieves this goal by creating access to quality music education for children and youth ages 4 to 18 from all backgrounds. With a commitment to bringing out the talent — and voice — of each child, VOENA accepts any child with the desire to sing and a willingness to work hard. There is a “no audition policy” to join, scholarships are offered, and all children are welcome regardless of their previous musical experience.

VOENA believes that all children are capable of musical literacy, and members are expected to strive for their personal best. To achieve excellence, the director prescribes a set of guiding principles that are referred to as the “VOENA Big Three.” They are: 1.) Accept the challenge; 2.) Develop a hard work ethic; 3.) Be self-motivated.
