Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, VIRGINIA WARING INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION will be able to present artists in concert for local schools and the general public at large.

Organization Summary

1) The Biennial Competition (every 2 years) features different age groups every four years. Solo and Concerto rounds; first 5 days are free of charge. Solo Finals require low priced ticket. Free tickets given to low income senior citizens and to students and teachers. 2) Arts education: free concerts / assemblies in schools; free music workshops in the classroom; 3) Community Outreach: Educational seminars with partner organizations; 4) Concerts for the public with partner venues – free and low price ticketed ones; 5) Original music show at McCallum Theatre; In-home salons;
