Founded in 2008, GAP (Gang Awareness and Prevention) provides leadership and life skills training and mentoring services for justice-involved youth (while in detention and in the community) in Sacramento. Currently operating as a program under GAP (and in the process of pursuing an independent non-profit status) is Influencers 4 Change (i4C). i4C is a music-based youth development program designed to collectively cultivate change through consistent relationship building. i4C uses music and the arts to engage at-promise youth, including youth who are justice-involved and youth in foster care, to build relationships, provide youth with a positive outlet, and connect youth to mentoring and supportive services to help them grow into healthy, stable, fulfilling adult lives.
