Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Support for Intertribal Gatherings will bring the Pajaro Valley Ohlone Indian Council, led by Patrick Orozco, to host an indigenous people’s day celebration with the Chumash Mayor of Sand City, Mary Ann Carbone, at Paradise Beach on Oct. 11th 2021.

Organization Summary

We produce an annual week long summer camp and an annual 3 day tribal dance gathering. We completed a large celebration for the 50 years reunion of the occupation of Alcatraz Island by Indians of All Tribes in 2019. In 2025 we are developing a new program to feature tribal water songs.
