With support from the California Arts Council, STATE STREET BALLET will present a new version of the classical ballet “The Sleeping Beauty” in Fresno and Santa Barbara for 8,000 students. These free performances will engage students by teaching them the pantomime movements they will see on stage prior to seeing the dancing and simple dance steps after. Performances will be supplemented by standards-based study guides and post-performance follow up, including short surveys for attendees.
