The San Francisco International Hip Hop DanceFest’s mission is to encourage the evolution of hip hop dance culture while preserving its legacy. The DanceFest was founded by Micaya (Artistic Director/ Producer) to be the first global festival to honor the artistry of hip hop dance, and to celebrate an ongoing cultural phenomenon that is often misunderstood. This is accomplished through a thoughtful curating process that culminates in electrifying performances by critically acclaimed local, national, and international dance companies.
