Teaching artists will present hands-on learning plans that introduce elements of theater performance and technical craft, culminating in a student-led spring performance for peers, parents, and community. The 2020-2021 school year theme will focus on Theater Around the World.

Organization Summary

Sacred Fools Theater Company offers a full season of professional plays, a variety of readings and community projects, a popular summer theater camp, and a rental service for our unique venue. Our plays are produced regularly throughout the year for 6-8 week runs in one of our 4 intimate theater spaces. Our community-building programming ranges from open mic evenings to guest productions, readings to workshops. Our community and workshop productions are always free or donation-based.
We believe that theatre is for everyone regardless of background, race, or creed, and as part of our commitment to that ideal, and we maintain blocks of $15 tickets for all of our productions. We offer competitive rental services throughout the year to other local theater companies, producers, and teachers. Each year, we hold After-School programs, in-school classes, and a Summer Theater Camp for students aged 8-16. Our teaching artists emphasize student-led original projects that give students that chance to guide a production from an idea to a fully-realized show.
