With support from the California Arts Council, SACRAMENTO MENS CHORUS (SGMC) will cover our general operating expenses, including equipment storage unit rent, utilities, database software subscriptions, and staff salaries, to continue to serve the LGBTQ+ community and share a positive experience of the LGBTQ+ community with the Sacramento region.
The Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus was founded in 1984 as a singing group that aimed to foster a sense of community and provide support for gays and lesbians in the Sacramento area. Over the past 35 years, through musical performance and outreach programs, the chorus has grown to become an integral part of the Sacramento music community, as well as a voice for the LGBTQ+ community in the greater Sacramento area.
