With support from the California Arts Council, Royal Stage will provide quality arts education to youth aged 3-18, including those in foster care, with a special emphasis on developing leadership and employable skills. Royal Stage youth participate in traditional arts disciplines while learning life skills and interacting with positive mentors.
Royal Stage has three core organizational programs and services:
1) A community performing arts studio offering ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop dance as well as musical theater and visual art. Classes are divided into age-appropriate sections.
2) The Crown-A-Princess program provides free and very deeply discounted classes and performance opportunities to low-income girls and women. Participants in this program can also receive free counseling services, transportation assistance to and from the studio, and grocery assistance for their family.
3) Royal Stage partners with other organizations to provide arts programming as an enhancement to their great work. We provide keynote speakers, entertainment, instruction, and support to schools and non-profits.
