Project Description
With the support from the California Arts Council, Regional Organization of Oaxaca will organize virtual and in-person workshops on three Oaxacan art forms: 1) Elaboration of Sarapes; 2) Mixtec mask making; 3) and Oaxacan Music Band.
Organization Summary
For 30 years ORO has been the driving force organizing the Oaxacan immigrant communities to share our indigenous culture with other residents of Los Angeles, through the organization of cultural events such as the Guelaguetza and the creation of music and dance groups specialized on performing folk Oaxacan music and dances.
