Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, the McKinley PTA will fund McKinley School’s Performing Arts theater productions taking place in the springs of the years 2023 and 2024, allowing us to reduce costs for our participants and create a diverse cast more representative of our Title I student population.
Organization Summary
As a parent-teacher association, the McKinley PTA aims to meet McKinley School’s needs that are outside the scope of its budget. While our focus areas are broad, our main objective is clear — to provide experiential learning opportunities for every McKinley student. We do this by providing funding for:
-bilingual educational assistants
-physical education
-supplies and curriculum funding for our teachers
-the Performing Arts program (theater)
-field trips
-After School Enrichment classes
-music education for our TK-1 students
