With CAC support, Project Level will conduct after-school and summertime arts education programs that provide hands-on training to 80+ San Francisco youth of color ages 13 to 24. At the conclusion of each program cycle, Project Level produces a showcase performance featuring the participants’ original creations. All project-related classes and performances take place at the African American Art and Culture Complex.
Our focus areas include music, film, fashion, dance and marketing with specialties ranging from studio recording and graphic design to photography, video production, money management and journalism. We teach our students to be resilient, help them develop self-discipline and self-esteem. And we build strong leadership skills that last a lifetime – helping them succeed at home, in their communities and in the workplace.
