With support from the California Arts Council, PSHH’s Camino Scholars Education Program will incorporate art therapy and dance instruction into learning modalities at our ten learning centers throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, equipping under-resourced and at-risk students with coping strategies for behavioral health maintenance and stress regulation.
In the 51 years since its founding, PSHH’s services have evolved from paving paths to homeownership for first-time homeowners to provision of onsite, attentive property management, clinical social services, and quality education programming at each of the 53 affordable rental properties we have developed and compassionately maintain. All PSHH services are provided in-house and are entirely free of charge, barrier, or enrollment restriction to residents. Our service population is primarily low-income households, seniors, individuals with disabilities, farmworkers, and historically under-resourced ethnic and racial demographics.
