Organization Summary

Our programs include:

Fully Staged Productions – Beginning in 2025-2026, we will return to performing three fully staged productions each season. Our last fully staged production was in 2019, just prior to the pandemic shut-downs.

Parson’s Nose Radio Theater Live! – We present 90-minute radio theater style productions of classic plays in our historic theater.

Parson’s Nose Radio Theater Podcasts! – We present podcasts of our plays in an old-time radio format, complete with music and sound effects.

Family Classics – Launching in 2025-2026, this new project introduces children to live theater.

Parson’s Nose Music Series – This program brings local music groups to the Parson’s Nose stage.

“Conversations with…” – This free-to-all discussion series provides a forum for topics of interest to the Pasadena community – arts, science, politics, education.

LatinX Reading Series – Launched in the 2024-2025 season in partnership with the Amapalo players, this play reading series features works written and performed by Latinx artists.

Women’s Theater Project – Led by our Co-Founder Mary Chalon, these “pay what you wish” live readings of new plays are by and about women.

New Plays! Reading Series – Plays selected from nationwide submissions are performed for a “pay what you wish” audience.

Senior Workshops – Led by Artistic Director Lance Davis, residents at local assisted living centers become actors in classic plays.

Student Theater Workshops – Our High School Theater Workshops have been presented to Pasadena High School Advanced Drama students with Parson’s Nose Theater’s Artistic Director, Lance Davis.

Educational Scripts – Three of our classic adaptations by Lance Davis – Moliere’s “The Mi$er”, Goldoni’s “Servant of Two Masters”, and Tom Taylor’s “Our American Cousin” are currently available on Amazon.
