Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Paradise Art Center will be able to obtain the services of a part-time bookkeeper for a year and cover the expenses of rentals for accounting software and laptop. We are an all-volunteer organization. Our growth and community involvement support this need.

Organization Summary

The Paradise Art Center offers a range of classes and workshops that include basic beginner through master class levels. These classes include Watercolor Exploration, Pottery, Chinese Brush Painting, Acrylic Painting, Basic Drawing Pastel, and Open Studio time where artists informally work with other artists across all media.

All Paradise Art Center members are invited to show their art work in Wheeler Gallery shows and at a local gallery space provided by a town restaurant free of charge. While the restaurant’s shows are Members choice, most exhibitions in Wheeler Gallery follow a theme or are designated for a specific media. A prospectus for each show includes details, guidelines, and specific dates. Prospectuses can be picked up at the Art Center or downloaded from the list below.

In addition, Paradise Art Center is a founding member of the Paradise Arts Alliance, an advocacy group comprised of all the non-profit arts organizations, and Paradise Arts, Theatre and Culture Hub, a group that wishes to develop a facility with multiple disciplines designed to rebuild Paradise as a flourishing arts and culture destination hub for tourists and prospective residents.
