With the support from the CAC, OCCTAC will expand our current partnership with the Santa Ana Unified School District to provide equitable visual arts education opportunities modeled after the CA VAPA standards for students who cannot attend the after school arts program in a middle school located in one of the most under-served neighborhoods in the City. This arts program will foster the development of student’s creativity, social-emotional, academic and pre-vocational skills and inclusion.
Early Start and Prekinder- This program serves young children – ages 6 months old to 4.5 years – to pre-kindergarteners with and without special needs and their parents.
Preparatory Arts Academy- To develop our students in the Arts while supporting academic success and to further their education in the creative fields at the High School and Collegiate levels we teach Visual and Performing Arts based on the CA VAPA standards and the MTAC certificate program.
Family Counseling-As part of the Crime Prevention and Intervention grant, OCCTAC is tasked with implementing both facets of the program in collaboration with the Willard Middle School.
Youth Employment Program- In partnership with the City of Santa Ana Workforce Development program, OCCTAC provides Transitional Age Youth (16 – 24 years old) educational skills, job training, work experience, and career counseling in the field of Arts, Education & Technology, mentoring, leadership opportunities and other support services.
