With support from the California Arts Council, Onstage Theatre Arts will present a school year-long theatre program to Peter Burnett Elementary students which will provide an introduction to theatre arts centered around folktales from other countries and help them develop life skills including concentration, cooperation, and confidence.
OnStage offers a variety of classes and camps for ages 5 -25 to teach a range of theatrical skills. In our after school classes and summer camps, students create characters, collaborate with teachers to write a play, devise costumes and sets, learn actor’s tools, rehearse their play, and create a final performance for friends and family. We also teach the art of improv to kids 3rd-6th grades to stimulate imagination, build confidence and communications skills. Another way in which we also offer this theatrical process is through the Fly Brave Foundation which works with young people age 17-25 who are on the autism spectrum.
