NorCal School of the Arts provides holistic, individualized, and professional theater arts training programs, supporting young artists from diverse communities to create, express, and participate in theater arts educational opportunities. Through arts engagement, students are empowered to embrace social-emotional learning strategies and advocacy while creating a positive mindset towards themselves and their community.
NorCal School of the Arts is committed to providing theater arts educational opportunities and arts leadership development for vulnerable and underserved communities in title 1 schools. NorCal School of the Arts recognizes that our country was built on systems that are inequitable by design and have deeply hurt BIPOC communities. We vigilantly work to confront and interrupt inequities and create anti racist environments through our programs and classes and within our internal operations. NorCal School of the Arts is committed to creating and sustaining a workplace culture of transparency and accessibility that rests on the anti-racist principles of respect, equity, inclusion, and diversity. NorCal School of the Arts leadership is committed to developing employees opportunities for further growth in the field of theater arts education and also arts administration. All staff are currently trained in SEL which includes a cultural competency unit.
