Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, North Coast Rep’s Theatre School will help more than 2,000 students to develop greater self-confidence, respect for themselves and others, and a lifelong love of theatre and the art of theatre-making by training and inspiring theatrical skill and artistry.
Organization Summary
North Coast Repertory Theatre is a non-profit professional Equity theatre with a thriving theatre school located in Solana Beach, California for 41 years.
The theatre hosts more than 350 performances annually serving greater than 40,000 patrons. From September – August, the award-winning North Coast Rep offers a seven-play Main Stage subscription season in its intimate 194-seat theatre. In addition, Variety Nights are offered on many Monday and Tuesday evenings, and include Monday night Jazz and Acoustic Mondays, Tuesday Night Comics and Improv Shows. The theatre also hosts free play readings for the community concerning subjects of topical interest and workshops for new dramatic works and works-in-progress.
Theatre School @ North Coast Rep is the primary education and outreach program of North Coast Repertory Theatre and provides the highest quality educational experience in theatre arts to North San Diego County’s culturally diverse youth ages 4 – 19.
