The Modoc County Arts Council is a countywide non-profit organization established in 1981, funded by the CAC for the purpose of serving artists and art organizations within Modoc County. Our mission is to plan, coordinate, and implement programs and policies within the guidelines of the CAC State/Local Partnership Program that foster art and art-related activities; to stimulate enthusiasm for artistic endeavors that become self-perpetuating; and to accept gifts and donations for the promotion of the arts. Most of our activities are directly related to our Cultural Arts Plan based on a community arts needs and assessment survey. For the past 35 years we have provided services, programs, and technical assistance to local arts organizations and local artists.
