Jazzantiqua Dance & Music Ensemble (Jazzantiqua Inc) celebrates the jazz tradition as a vital thread in the cultural fabric of African American history and heritage, and a defining element of the American experience. Dedicated to jazz dance education, preservation and creation, the company’s mission is to increase awareness of and appreciation for the legacy of jazz through collaborative dance and music projects that also meld jazz influenced visual art, literature/poetry/spoken word, and theatre in presentations designed to educate and inspire, as well as entertain.
