A. Mission/Purpose of Applicant Organization:
Grupo de Teatro SINERGIA is committed to fulfill the specific purposes of:
a) Serving the Latino community with professional performances of bilingual plays (English/Spanish), focusing on the problems and social issues confronting our community.
b) Offering workshops for at risk youth, as well as adults in theater, animation, music, photography, and dance.
c) Offering new authors, directors, and actors an opportunity to present their work to the public.
d) Executing the need to promote a better understanding of our culture and provide an in-depth exploration of Latino culture through the arts, thus creating a forum that celebrates and exposes all of its facets.
e) Creating a cultural center embracing a Latino centric artistic vision.
f) Expanding the community’s personal and artistic horizons as we continuously explore new realms of theatrical expression.
